The easiest way to upgrade Typo3 is through your cPanel-> Softaculous, but please note that if you Typo3 installation is heavily customized, the automatic upgrade process might destroy it entirely.

This is why it is highly recommended you create a backup of your site first. If the Softaculous upgrade fails, you will be able to restore your application and attempt a manual upgrade.
