How to configure my Mac Mail client?

The settings you need to enter when configuring your Mac Mail are:

 

  • Your Name - the name that will appear in the "From" field of the emails you send.
  • Email Address - the mailbox which will be accessed, i.e. user@yourdomain.com.
  • Incoming Mail Server - set this to mail.yourdomain.com.
  • Mail Server Type - choose between IMAP and POP, depending on what type of mail protocol you prefer.
  • User Account ID - enter the full e-mail address, i.e. user@yourdomain.com instead of user.
  • Password - the password assigned to user@yourdomain.com.
  • Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server - set this to mail.yourdomain.com.

Click OK to save the settings and create your mail account in Mail.
