In WordPress you can easily set private status to different posts or to the whole blog.

To set private status for a new post, go to the WordPress admin area > Posts > Add New. When you write your new post, click the Edit button next to Visibility: Public and choose the visibility level for your post.

To set the private status for your whole blog, log in to your WordPress admin area, go to Settings > Privacy and set the privacy level for your blog.
