What is a dedicated ip and what does it offer?

Siteground offers a service called “Dedicated IP” which can be purchased from the Customer's area, Order extras. As its name suggests it sets your site to work from a unique(dedicated) ip address.

This can be useful in some cases of search engine optimization, SSLs and other specific needs.

Note that this will not change the IP your mails originate from and it works only for the web site.
